About

Michele (Elbin) Miller

I grew up in Southampton Township on my grandparent's (Clifford and Marlene Simmons) farm just outside the village of Chaneysville.  I am a graduate of Everett Area High School and Cambria-Rowe Business College with a degree in Legal Office Administration.  After college I had a career working at M.I.C. Industries, Inc., near Johnstown, PA, in their Research and Development and Engineering Department, writing and editing technical and software manuals.

In my spare time, I started to research my grandfather's family from West Virginia.  My family research and my love for history (especially Southampton Township) eventually led to a book entitled Cemeteries of Southampton Township which was published in September 2014.  My second book, Schools of Southampton Township was published in July 2015, followed by Flintstone, Maryland Cemeteries in February 2016 and Unknown Graves of Southampton Township in April 2016.  In December 2016, I completed a two-volume set on the Veterans of Southampton Township entitled Honoring Our Heroes.

In 2018, I branched out of the Southampton area and published a book on the Cemeteries of West Providence Township.

I am not stopping there!  My mission is to pass along as much information as possible about our ancestors!  I have many more ideas and plans for many more books in the future!  Stay tuned!
